Allen Robinson looking forward to joint practices with Bengals

Allen Robinson and Matthew Stafford didn’t get the chance to work together during OTAs and minicamp. The Rams didn’t let Stafford throw after he had an offseason injection in his right elbow, taking a safe approach.

Stafford also got more days off than most quarterbacks during training camp as the Rams manage his workload, but he and Robinson will get their most valuable practice reps in this week against the Bengals.

Robinson is looking forward to two days of practicing with the team Los Angeles beat in the Super Bowl, building on his knowledge of the Rams offense.

“To actually be out there and have the opportunity to run through some of that stuff will be fun,” Robinson said via the Los Angeles Times. “Just continuing to try and learn and figure out and fine-tune some of the nuances … and some of the intricacies within certain things that we’re doing.”

Robinson and Stafford have still managed to build a good chemistry, even when the quarterback gets a day off from throwing. That should carry over into the regular season when Robinson will be one of Stafford’s top weapons alongside Cooper Kupp.

Coming off the worst season of his career, Robinson is looking to bounce back with the Rams after signing as a free agent. All signs point toward him getting on track quickly in Los Angeles, fitting seamlessly in the offense.
