Allegedly armed driver arrested following chain of cross-border chases

Police ACT Policing Queanbeyan

A 22-year-old man who was allegedly carrying a large sword, gloves and balaclavas was arrested on Thursday following a pursuit through Canberra and parts of Queanbeyan by police across both jurisdictions.

The 22-year-old driver refused to stop and NSW Police initiated a chase in Queanbeyan early on Thursday. Picture by Sitthixay Ditthavong

He was charged with multiple offences, including driving dangerously, possessing a knife in a public place and driving a motor vehicle while disqualified.
