NEW DELHI: Indian Olympic Association’s (IOA) treasurer, Anandeshwar Pandey, has threatened to disaffiliate Hockey India (HI) from the national Olympic committee if the hockey body doesn’t provide the financial details of money spent allegedly on renovating IOA president Narinder Batra’s office situated on the second floor of the IOA Bhawan here.
On Wednesday, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had registered a preliminary enquiry (PE) against Batra for alleged misuse of Rs 35 lakh of HI funds. The agency had received a complaint against Batra following which it started a PE. It was alleged in the complaint that Rs 35 lakh of HI funds were used for personal benefits of Batra.
