NEW DELHI: Amidst public criticism and controversy surrounding the recent "timed-out" row, Allan Donald will be stepping down from his role as Bangladesh's fast-bowling coach following the conclusion of the Cricket World Cup, as reported by officials and media on Friday.
The decision comes in the wake of strained relations between the 57-year-old South African and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), particularly after Donald openly criticized skipper Shakib Al Hasan's involvement in the contentious "timed-out" incident with Sri Lanka's Angelo Mathews. The incident occurred during the World Cup clash in New Delhi when Mathews exceeded the allotted two minutes for a batsman to take strike while adjusting his helmet strapping.
