Health officials in western New York have narrowed the county's measles investigation to a single community. The Allegany County Department of Health said in a public health advisory issued Saturday that it has identified two confirmed and ten presumed positive measles cases, and that every one of them is located in the town of New Hudson.
The advisory represents a significant jump from the county's previous update three days earlier, which listed two confirmed and two presumed cases. It also marks the first time officials have publicly identified a specific town rather than describing the situation county-wide.
