So if you are going to the concert, or need to travel around the area it's good to plan how the road closures will affect you and what they are. We have the details below.
Road closures
As part of the traffic management plant, there are planned road closures in place to ensure the safety and security of all concert goers and residents on Friday and Sunday. Before the concert, which will be between 11am and 8pm, the A466 Southbound closure will be between Itton Roundabout and Kingsmark Lane.
Before the concert:
South of Kingsmark Lane will be two-way, but there will be no left turn out of Kingsmark Lane. There will be diversions in place via Chepstow B4293 and A48.
The B4293 Westbound closure will be in force between Piercefield Avenue to Itton Roundabout. Although there will be a resident closure between Kingsmark Lane to Piercefield Avenue, there will be resident access to Piercefield Avenue, The Rosary and The Cloisters.
Throughout the event:
The A48 to B4245 will have a manned closure but residents can access on Crick Road.
After the concert:
Between 9pm and 2am, there will be a full closure between Devauden Road Junction at St Arvans to Itton Roundabout on the A466. Diversions will be in place via B4293.
All of the closures will be manned throughout by the traffic management team with access to emergency vehicles only. Outside of these hours, the roads will be opened as usual.
