All the road closures and diversions as Little Amal puppet arrives in Leeds

People walking through Briggate tonight will be greeted by a large puppet - Little Amal.

The 3.5 metre tall puppet of a young Syrian refugee child will pop up in Leeds from 6pm. The artwork symbolises raising awareness of young refugees.

The puppet has been travelling through Europe since 2021, starting in Syria and walking across Turkey, Greece, Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, and now the UK. The character will also travel to the Netherlands, Poland, and Ukraine.
