There are a number of planned works on the M4 for the week starting Sunday, July 24. Several stretches of the motorway will see restrictions in place to allow repair and maintenance work over the next seven days.
Recent weeks have seen major disruption on and around the M4 caused by fuel price protestors - you can read about one of the protestors who received no punishment from magistrates after pleading guilty to breaching a legal notice not to drive under 30mph here.
List of planned roadworks for the coming week:
- M4 eastbound between J20 and J18: Road repairs are planned between 10pm on Sunday and 6am on Monday. Disruption: Moderate
- M4 eastbound between J19 and J18: Road repairs are planned between 9pm on Thursday and 6am on Saturday. Disruption: Moderate
- M4 westbound between J22 and J23: Ongoing roadworks. Disruption: Slight
- M4 westbound between J18 and J19: Emergency barrier repairs are planned between 9pm on Tuesday and 6am on Wednesday. Disruption: Slight
- M4 westbound at J19 : Roadworks are planned between 9am and 3.30pm on Friday. Disruption: Slight.
- M4 eastbound and westbound between J19 and J18: Emergency barrier repairs are planned between 9pm on Wednesday and 6am on Thursday. Disruption: Slight
- M4 eastbound at J20: Roadside drains works are planned between 10pm on Monday and 6am on Saturday. Disruption: Slight
- M4 westbound at J19: Roadside drains works are planned between 10pm on Monday and 6am on Saturday. Disruption: Slight
