With temperatures getting much colder and snow and ice coming to parts of Yorkshire, councils are working hard to make sure roads remains safe to drive on.
That means gritting is happening regularly to make sure it doesn't get too slippery. Leeds City Council provides a handy interactive map so you can check regularly which roads have been recently gritted.
The council says: "From October to April we aim to keep the most important roads and some major pedestrian areas in Leeds safe and as free as possible from winter hazards."
