The Harry Potter film franchise has been extremely successful since Scottish author JK Rowling first put pen to paper to create the first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, back in 1998.
Since then, eight movies surrounding the seven lengthy books were released, and $7.7 billion was made as a result, with Harry Potter now a household name for those who aren't even Potterheads.
There are studio tours, American theme parks and even walking tours in Edinburgh dedicated to this fantasy book series - and three spin-off movies to boot.
