An array of new businesses have arrived in Swansea, offering a whole host of extra reasons to visit the city centre. In recent weeks, we have seen some long-time vacant units given a fresh new look by new tenants who intend to breathe new life into each of them.
From a new cocktail bar and bouldering centre to a soon-to-be opened adventure park, hairdressers, dessert store, fast food restaurant and sweet shop, there's plenty to look forward to. Their arrival has meant that some units left empty for a significant time have been filled, whilst others have been created especially for their arrival.
Here, we've taken a look at each of them and profiled what's there and what is to come. Get Swansea stories straight to your inbox with our newsletter.

AM PM Bar and Lounge
A new bar and lounge has opened up on Castle Street called AM PM. The building had initially been synonymous with pizza - having first been the long-time home of Pizza Express, and then becoming Positano Express, but the new business brings an entirely new venture to the unit. It is a cocktail bar which also has a function room upstairs which can be hired.
Flashpoint
The much-anticipated Flashpoint has officially opened at Parc Tawe Retail Park. It is a new bouldering wall experienced designed with climbers of all abilities in mind - from new climbers to those looking for top class training facilities. Taster sessions are being held for beginners where instructors will be on hand to show you how it all works. You can learn more by clicking here.
Ninja Warrior UK
A new Ninja Warrior UK Adventure Park will be opening at Swansea's Parc Tawe Retail Park in July. The 24,000 square foot indoor facility will include obstacles to climb, balance, jump and swing across, as well as the famous Warped Wall. Wannabe Ninjas will need to preserve some extra energy to tackle additional inflatables complete with tunnels, battle towers and the ultimate assault course to race through. And there will be a Ninja Café for people to watch and refuel.
Mo's Barbers
The long-time base of Coral on High Street is soon to have new occupants. Signage for Mo's Barbers has been erected above the unit which has been empty for some time since the bookmaker's departure. Although an official opening date is yet to be announced, posters erected in the windows say it is 'coming soon'.
Frozzi Yo
Described as a "dessert shop like nothing you've ever seen before in Swansea", Frozzi Yo will soon open at Cupid Way, just before you cross the bridge to get to the new Swansea arena. It will see customers help themselves to flavours such as salted caramel and Biscoff from its self serve machines, then choose as many toppings and sauces as you like from a massive range including cookie dough chunks and chocolate sauce to fresh fruit.
Imperial Candy
Another business which will soon open up at Cupid Way will be Imperial Candy, a sweet shop which will have on offer a range of sweet boxes, snacks and sodas from around the world, including popular favourites from the USA such as Rocky Road and Airheads.
KoKo Doo Korean Fried Chicken
KoKoDoo Korean Fried Chicken is an award-winning franchise launched in London in 2006, offering a range of fresh, Korean-inspired fried chicken dishes and sides. It will be led by Graham Baister, who is also Director of Swansea-based Sweet Footwear Ltd and Oak & Hyde Boots. It will be opening soon, also along Cupid Way.
