Between the BAFTAs and a host of after parties for our fair city’s 40th London Fashion Week, the style set have been given plenty of opportunities to practice their step and repeat this weekend.
One of the hottest tickets in town was Vogue’s BAFTA after party with Tiffany & Co. It saw everyone from Ayo Edebiri to Dua Lipa and Saltburn director Emerald Fennell make their way to Annabel’s to keep the night going. It was the first edition of the event by Chioma Nnadi, the magazine’s new head of editorial content.
While before the Royal Festival Hall main event, some stars including Margot Robbie started early and donned their favourite Chanel sparkles or tweed at the brand’s party with Charles Finch to mark the BAFTAs.Kicking off the weekend was a bash hosted by our very own ES Magazine team at the Savoy to celebrate an epic fashion issue, covered by Beth Ditto. Attendees included everyone from Saltburn’s Archie Madekwe, to Gene Gallagher and model of the moment Kai-Isaiah Jamal. And on Saturday a party by David Koma to celebrate its autumn / winter show saw a host of London’s finest models and DJs don their favourite cutout looks and chic prints from the house.
We have to admit the BAFTAs main event had a dearth of major British fashion moments, though the after parties have been given us some looks worthy of notice. Edebiri’s classic silk shirt and perfectly cut denims worn with Tiffany jewels are an easy weekend style to steal, while Alex Chung in chainmail and fringe and Kaia Gerber in a spiked mini made a strong case for gold eveningwear. And the LFW show goers gave it their best in their directional Koma looks.
