This Morning's Phillip Schofield and former pal Holly Willoughby have put on a brave face since their feud emerged.
It was claimed that if viewers were not convinced that the pair were the best of friends, Phillip, 61, risked losing his job on the ITV network.
Despite being close friends since they started working together and often holidaying together, the pair have had an almighty falling out with Holly, 42, allegedly cutting all contact with her co-star.
In a bid to keep things as normal as possible, the pair returned to screens this week and appeared to brush off the media reports surrounding their feud – despite discussing the day's headlines on the programme.
Kicking things off at the top of the show, Holly and Phillip greeted viewers ahead of the Tuesday instalment, despite losing a whopping 170,000 viewers per week, they were in high spirits.
In their usual chirpy style, the pair explained what was coming up on the programme but the pair continued to ignore their drama after becoming "separate entities".
Holly and Phil explained that they would be chatting to Martin Lewis on how to save cash during the cost of living crisis, Coronation Street actress Ellie Leach who is leaving the soap and an astrologer.
However, things appeared frosty between the pair as the episode kicked off and fans at home were certainly on the ball as they picked up on the tense atmosphere.
"Phil and Holly still carrying on? This is ridiculous now," said one viewer.
A second penned: "Let's hope it's not as awkward as This Morning's performance. We all have people we don't get on with at work but this is ridiculous get rid of them both."
"Good Lord the friction is appalling," commented a third.
But things became even more awkward for the pair when they sat down for a chat with expert astrologer Hagan Fox who revealed a big change was happening.
Fox told Holly and Phil that a "tricky phase" was coming to an end, leaving the hosts completely silent.
He told the pair: "Jupiter is moving into Taurus for the first time in 12 years, it's the best news for each and every one of us.
"It's been in Aries for 12 years which is kind of a tricky phase, this is now about happiness, this is about self-care, self-love and just having a ball."
Hagan later took part in the regular "phone in" segment of the show, asking viewers to get in touch with any work issues they may be facing.
Addressing the cameras, he said: "Today it's about relocation, relationships, work issues. Do you get on with your boss? Do you not get on with your boss?
"It's about changing jobs. Anything you want to talk about today, I am here."
Meanwhile, some found this feature rather fitting and instantly took to social media, with one writing: "Perhaps the star man could do Holly's stars see if a new job is on the cards? #ThisMorning."
"Hagan, what do my stars say about this friend, who just won't get the hint that I no longer want to be his friend #thismorning?" said another.
As a third typed: "Phone in... If you don't get on with your boss... awkward... #ThisMorning."
Body language expert Judi James spoke to the Mirror and explained that she believes Phillip is putting on a front in the hopes of making viewers believe he and Holly are pals.
"He sounded keen to promote messages of historic friendship with Holly and the fact that they are, contrary to rumour, speaking behind the scenes," she said before going on to add: "He told her she is good at parking the car and he referred to the fact that 'We were talking about this before the show'."
During the show, Judi suggested that Phillip showed signs of "inner anxiety" and was "less perky and more subdued" than his usual self.
But Holly appeared to be more relaxed than she was on Monday following suggestions that she was blindsided by Phillip's decision to make a public statement.
