Prince Harry's autobiography, Spare, will soon be released, and a number of startling revelations from the book have already been leaked.
The book, which is titled in reference to Harry being the "spare to the heir", comes after the prince's shock move to America in early 2020. At the time Harry said he made the decision to migrate with his wife and children in order to "break the cycle of genetic pain and suffering".
He has also since said he was scared of "history repeating itself", referring to his wife facing scrutiny similar to that of his late mother, Princess Diana.

Numerous outlets have reported leaked passages from Spare, ahead of its release on Tuesday (January 10). Here we take a look at some of the most shocking claims.
Losing his virginity
Writing in Spare, Prince Harry has recalled losing his virginity to an older woman back in 2001. The Duke referred to it as a "humiliating episode" with a woman who "liked macho horses and who treated me like a young stallion."
According to the Daily Mail, he wrote: "One of my many mistakes was letting it happen in a field, just behind a very busy pub. No doubt someone had seen us."
Fighting with William
One extract alleges the Duke of Sussex was physically attacked by his brother over his marriage to Meghan Markle. Harry alleges the confrontation took place at his London home in 2019 and left him with a visible injury to his back, according to The Guardian.
The publication was able to obtain a copy of the book before its release despite pre-launch security.
It is said Prince William grabbed his brother by the collar and ripped his necklace before knocking him to the floor. Harry further claimed William called Meghan "difficult", "rude" and "abrasive", comments which the younger brother said parroted "the press narrative" about his wife.
Drug taking
Harry has admitted to taking cocaine, cannabis and magic mushrooms in his memoir, adding that the psychedelic drugs allowed him to see “the truth”. He said he took the drugs both for fun and therapeutically over the years.
The Telegraph reports Prince Harry smoked cannabis in his garden at Kensington Palace and at Eton. He claims the drugs had helped him both escape and “redefine” reality.
The Duke says he had later realised that the risk outweighed the reward and that the spectre of getting caught, and the potential consequences for the late Queen’s upcoming Golden Jubilee celebrations were simply not worth it.
'Killed 25 people in Afghanistan'
The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry says he killed 25 Taliban fighters in Afghanistan during his time as an Apache helicopter pilot. Harry served first as a forward air controller in air attacks from 2007 and 2008, and later flew the attack helicopter between 2012 and 2013.
The Telegraph reports Harry said he thought of the people as "chess pieces", rather than human beings.
Rumour James Hewitt is his real dad
Elsewhere in the explosive book, Prince Harry addresses a "sadistic" rumour that Major James Hewitt is his real dad. The rumours started when the Duke of Sussex's mum, Princess Diana, confirmed a five-year affair with Major James Hewitt during the 1980s.
As a result, there has always been some hearsay that she had a child with him. The Mirror reported that Harry has made reference to the rumours and how the now-King Charles had often made light of guessing who his real father was.
The Duke wrote: "The joke was damn funny in light of the rumour going around at the time that my real father was one of my mother's ex-lovers: Major James Hewitt. One cause of the rumour was Major Hewitt's red hair, but another was sadism.
"Tabloid readers loved the idea that Prince Charles's youngest son was not Prince Charles's son. They never got tired of that 'joke', for some reason."
'Willy and Harold'
Also revealed in the book are the "real" names William and Harry have for each other. Harry writes that he gave his brother a glass of water and said: “Willy, I can’t speak to you when you’re like this.”, while William told him “I didn’t attack you, Harold.”
Kate and William 'told him to dress as a Nazi'
Many people will remember when Harry sparked outrage in 2005, wearing a Nazi uniform complete with swastika armband to a fancy dress party. But according to US website Page Six, he claims he phoned Kate and William to ask whether he should wear it.
It is claimed they both said he should, and howled with laughter when he went home and tried it on for them.
Kensington Palace and Buckingham Palace have declined to comment on the leaked claims from Harry’s book.
