The All-Ireland senior club football final between Kilmacud Crokes and Glen has been ordered to be replayed by the GAA's Central Competitions Control Committee.
The decision comes following a meeting of the CCCC on Monday night.
Both clubs put their case to the CCCC on the night but it was decided to defer a final decision until Tuesday, with the CCCC sitting again this morning to pore over the arguments made by either side.
There were three options on the table - a fine for Kilmacud for the fact that they had 16 players defending the goal after a botched substitution as Glen sought a winning goal from a 45 deep in injury time, forfeiture or a replay.
The CCCC have opted to go with the last of those decisions, but it is still far from certain that it will go ahead with Crokes having intimated privately that they would have no intention of fulfilling such a fixture after already receiving the cup, while the depth of appetite for it in Glen is also questionable, despite the club submitting an objection last week.
