All-Ireland semi-final stopped in Croke Park as referee has contact lens issue

The All-Ireland semi-final between Galway and Kilkenny was temporarily stopped as referee Andy Larkin had contact lenses issues in the first half.

The two age old rivals put on a brilliant match in Croke Park but half way through the first half Larkin found himself in a spot of bother with a contact lens issue.

A couple of nearby players tried to assist the referee before a number of officials stepped in to intervene.

The game resumed without any problems and fans were treated with a thriller.

Kilkenny were full value for their victory after a stunning second half.

Going in at half time it seemed as if it would be Galway's to lose as they led by two and also missed a penalty in the process.

And as the two sides traded scores throughout the second half, a Kilkenny goal shifted momentum.

And in the final ten minutes, Kilkenny really pulled away as they set up a mouth watering final with Cork.
