An astonishing number of Edinburgh-based food and drink producers were granted a prestigious award proving that they are some of the most delicious treats in the world.
This year, 26 of the capital's brands were recognised by the Great Taste Awards judges for whom everything - from texture, appearance, composition and, of course, taste - matters.
The judging panel consists of several hundreds of the world's most acclaimed personas from the food and drink industry, including food critics, chefs, restaurateurs, retail buyers, cooks, producers and a host of food writers, journalists and social media influencers.

Now, the collective experience and expertise of the celebrated judges result in the impressive list of 26 Edinburgh products - up from just 15 last year - that offer outstanding taste.
Some of the brands are so dedicated to the taste they deliver that several of their products have been added to this year's list.
For instance, the Company Bakery, trading since 2017, has six of their delicious bread types added to the list of the world's best.
