Is there anything more piratey than searching for buried treasure? I think not. Digging up the treasure map locations was one of my favourite side activities in the original game, and that's not changed in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. If you completed everything in the original and thought you knew it like the back of your hand, you don't now. The tectonic plates have shifted, as the remake has moved the location of major islands, and the clues are different too.

There are 22 treasure maps in Black Flag Resynced, mostly lining up with the original game. If you're wondering where the old Anotto Bay to Principe map has gone, that's more or less been replaced by Blackbeard's Treasure quest.

To be able to dig up the buried treasure, you need to have the associated map—you can't skip straight to the reward, sorry. That's why I've also included where you can find each map.

Speaking of booty, buried treasure chests generally include a handful of Reales and either an Ultimate Ship Plan upgrade, a Design Plan, or some art for the Great Inagua collection, making them a worthwhile distraction while not murdering Templars and boarding ships.

Here's where to find each buried treasure chest via their coordinates and the rewards you'll get, sorted into the order you're likely to encounter each clue (some are locked behind story progress):

Cape Bonavista

Map Location	(160,580) In a cave next to the Mayan stone in the south of Cape Bonavista, Dry Tortuga. To reach it, head up into the mountains from the northernmost synchronisation point.
Treasure Location	(146,587) In a cave on the southern beach of Cape Bonavista, Dry Tortuga, where you start the game. From the southern synchronisation point, jump down to the beach, then turn right.

Havana

Map Location	(218,571) On a skeleton in a dried-up river near the church and General Store in the southeast of Havana.
Treasure Location	(213,564) Near the collapsed palm tree at the base of the southwestern wall of Havana, Dry Tortuga, not far from the shops and a pirate camp on the beach.

Salt Lagoon

Map Location	(581,804) On a skeleton slumped against a palm tree on the south side of Abaco Island, Eleuthera. This is the first place you visit with Adewale after getting the Jackdaw.
Treasure Location	(719,607) At the base of the large rock next to an old camp on the northwest beach of Salt Lagoon in northern Gibara.

New Bone

Map Location	(722,607) On a skeleton on the northeastern edge of Salt Lagoon in northern Gibara.
Treasure Location	(407,94) Next to the palm trees on the small island to the north of New Bone, southwest Serranilla. It's on your right when you enter the docks, with the windmill on the hill ahead.

Abaco Island

Map Location	(543,694) On the southern beach of Andreas Island, southeast Eleuthera, where you go to meet Kidd for the Sugarcane and its Yields main quest.
Treasure Location	(586, 811) Next to a rock and palm tree near the shipwreck in the northeast of Abaco Island, Eleuthera.

Andreas Island

Map Location	(848,514) Next to a chest in the cave at the centre of Mariguana Island, central Gibara.
Treasure Location	(544,693) On the small island just off the coast at the far south of Andreas Island, southeast Eleuthera, where you'll meet Kidd for the Sugarcane and its Yields main quest.

Nassau

Map Location	(813,447) In a cave overlooking the docks at Great Inagua, Gibara, after you've cleared it during the main story mission This Old Cove. Climb the trees up the hill to the southeast to reach it.
Treasure Location	(586,755) Near a collapsed tree in the swamp behind the white manor house synchronisation point in the southwest of Nassau, Eleuthera.

Isla Providencia

Map Location	(594,750) Loot the warehouse in the south of Nassau, Eleuthera.
Treasure Location	(487,11) You need to progress the main story until the Marooned main quest to unlock this island in southeast Serranilla. Once you have access, the treasure is on the southern beach. Head a little way south from the synchronisation point towards the three palm trees by the boat wrecks to find it at the centre of them.

Anotto Bay

Map Location	(205,600) Loot the warehouse in the northwest of Havana, Dry Tortuga.
Treasure Location	(590,245) In Anotto Bay, northeast Charlotte, directly beneath where all the pirates are talking, once you swim through the mine shafts and reach their den.

Kingston

Map Location	(272,175) In the ramparts leading up to the synchronisation point in the north of Misteriosa, Serranilla, near a Mayan Stele.
Treasure Location	(631,152) On the beach on the far south of the town, in front of the barrels between the two halves of a shipwreck.

• Rewards : Gilded Hull design plan, 3,000 Reales

San Juan

Map Location	(191,218) Climb the trees to reach the hill on the eastern edge of Santanillas, Chinchorro, not far from the Mayan stele.
Treasure Location	(455,462) Next to shovels where you first encounter pirates in San Juan, a smuggler’s cove in Cruz. To enter this area, dive past the jellyfish into the undersea cave, which'll lead you to the enemy camp inside. The chest is located next to the first two pirates (one named Alexander) before dropping down into the camp proper.

Petite Caverne

Map Location	(298,311) Next to some barrels on the northwest beach of Cayman Sound in southern Castillo de Jagua.
Treasure Location	(863,235) Past the smugglers’ cove locked chest in the back left corner, behind the rocks by the waterfall. There’s a campsite nearby.

Pinos Isle

Map Location	(648,345) Near a leaning palm tree on the southern coast of Cumberland Bay, western Punda Guarico, not far from an old campsite.
Treasure Location	(304,455) On the ground to the right of the synchronisation point ruins, when facing it, in the northwest of the island.

Matanzas

Map Location	(851,352) By a campfire on the northeastern coast of Tortuga in northern Punta Guardico.
Treasure Location	(312,617) Behind the large waterfall next to the Mayan Stele in the southeast, not far from the warehouse.

Tulum

Map Location	(862,237) At the very back of Petite Caverne in southern Punta Guarico.
Treasure Location	(40,372) By the palm trees and rocks past the shipwreck in the far south of Tulum, southern Conttoyor.

Jiquey

Map Location	(812,114) To the right of the dock and harbour master at île à Vache in central Navassa.
Treasure Location	(534,510) Next to the palm tree, overturned boat, and tent on the right side of the beach inside Jiquey smuggler's cove.

Cumberland Bay

Map Location	(605,156) Raid the southernmost warehouse by the docks in Kingston, northern Navassa.
Treasure Location	(645,355) Next to the rowboat in the far north of Cumberland Bay, west Punta Guarico, next to the shipwreck past the synchronisation point.

Princípe

Map Location	(605,132) In the graveyard in the east of Port Royal, the prison and fort opposite Kingston in northern Navassa.
Treasure Location	(113,11) You need to progress the main story to unlock this island. Once you have access, you can find the treasure on the eastern beach where the ship is docked. Head to the southernmost point of the beach, southwest of the pier, to find the treasure by a palm tree.

• Rewards : Standard Bearer art, 1,000 Reales

Cayman Sound

Map Location	(307,455) Near the ruins to the north of Pinos Isle.
Treasure Location	(304,310) Next to the palm trees and tree trunk on the northeast beach of Cayman Sound in southern Castillo de Jagua, just to the right of the Opía Apito Templar Hunt mission.

• Rewards : 4,800 Reales

Ambergris Key

Map Location	(31,230) Next to the campfire on the northeastern beach of Corozal, western Chinchorro.
Treasure Location	(30,157) In Ambergris Key, southern Chinchorro, in a nook to your left after you swim through the cave and emerge into the ruins. It's before you go up the large staircase and find pirates.

Misteriosa

Map Location	(28,160) Above the locked smuggler's chest at Ambergris Key, southern Chinchorro.
Treasure Location	(271,178) In the thick grass to the left of the fountain and pond behind the synchronisation point in the north of Misteriosa, central Serranilla.

Long Bay

Map Location	(483,19) From the beach fast travel point where the Jackdaw arrives at Isla Providencia, Serranilla, head south along the sand and up the rising trail to find the corpse with the map at its end.
Treasure Location	(503,230) By the beach in the east of Long Bay. From the synchronisation point, head west to the three huts to find the treasure spot just a little way to the south of them.
