Alistair Johnston Celtic 'I might regret that' Rangers party quip as he shares moon boot video

Alistair Johnston joked he might regret his Celtic full-time party antics at Hampden.

The Hoops full-back was replaced during the victory over Rangers by Anthony Ralston after suffering an injury and emerged at full-time with crutches and a moon boot. Ange Postecoglou snapped up the Canada World Cup star as a replacement for Josip Juranovic and he has settled in seamlessly and made the right-back spot his own.

The League Cup represented a first trophy win for the full-back with the Premiership title potentially heading the way of Celtic Park this weekend if they defeat Hearts at Tynecastle while a domestic Treble could be completed with victory back at the national stadium over Inverness Caley Thistle in June.

Jota was the hero with the only goal of the game as Daizen Maeda took advantage of a Rangers lapse of concentration. He delivered an inch perfect ball onto the head of the Portuguese winger who couldn't miss as he nodded past Allan McGregor.

That goal set up wild celebrations at the end of the match for the Hoops and the fans in the stands and Johnston - despite his injury - made sure he wasn't missing out.

He was captured hopping up on down on one leg with his crutches in the air as he partied with his team-mates following another derby win over Michael Beale's men.

Posting the video and an imagine to his Instagram account, he wrote: "I might regret that tomorrow but who cares haha."

Speaking about Johnston after the game, Postecoglou said: "He got a sore one, that's why we took him off but he was waving the crutches about out there so he will feel the pain afterwards.

"We will have a look at it. Again that's the beauty of our squad, Tony Ralston comes in, he hasn't played in I don't know how long and he did a fantastic job for us. And it has been a squad effort."
