Alistair Johnston & Cameron Carter-Vickers spotted in Celtic training

It looks like Brendan Rodgers will have a full squad to pick from as Celtic take on Hearts tomorrow afternoon.

Injury doubts Alistair Johnston and Cameron Carter-Vickers have been spotted during training this morning.

The defensive duo were caught on the Sky Sports cameras doing their warm-up runs ahead of tomorrow's Scottish Premiership fixture.

The game against the Jambos is the start of a big week for the Hoops, with  Slovan Bratislava in town on Wednesday for the start of the new-look Champions League campaign.

Johnston was an injury concern after he was substituted during Canada's 2-1 win over the USA this week. He came off with a hamstring complaint.

Carter-Vickers played no part in that match after he pulled out of international duty after he was made to wear a moon boot as a precaution following the 3-0 victory over Rangers a fortnight ago.

Both players seemed to be well during Celtic's training session this morning. Rodgers will undoubtedly provide a detailed update on their fitness during his pre-match press conference this afternoon.

Greg Taylor and James Forrest - who both withdrew from the recent Scotland squad due to injury concerns - were also in the mix during training.

Celtic have started the season on fire with four straight wins, meanwhile, Steven Naismith's side have been struggling, sitting with just one point so far.

Meanwhile, Scotland defender Liam Cooper's move to Bulgaria relied heavily on former Celtic star Stiliyan Petrov, according to CSKA Sofia technical director Filip Filipov.

The 33-year-old completed a shock move to CSKA after ten years at Leeds United and will become the first Scot at the club since Tony Watt was there for six months in 2019.

Cooper was introduced to Bulgarian fans in a video where he drove a Mini Cooper car with a voiceover stating, 'Legendary, classy, aggressive, emblematic, Cooper, Liam Cooper. We're switching gears.'
