Alison Hammond has revealed the first time she ever went on camera was at the age of six years old in a movie with Sting and Daniel Day-Lewis.
The 47-year-old This Morning presenter starred in Artemis’ 81 along with her mum Maria Foster and older brother Nicky.
But although she admits she had a “whale of a time” making it, the 1981 film was a massive flop at the box office.
Speaking on Holly Willoughby’s new By The Light of The Moon podcast, she said: “It was the worst movie, let me just start off with that. It’s the worst movie I’ve ever seen.”

Explaining how she got the role, Alison said: “I was six years old and my mum got a part in this film, where she was the mum with two kids and she had a husband.
“She was like, ‘well, who is playing my kids?’ and they said we haven’t cast the kids yet.
“So she said I’ve actually got three kids, you can use two of them if you want. Alison and Nicholas.”
Alison recalled filming for the movie was in Denmark and the family went over on a ferry.
Detailing the plot of the film, she said: “When we got there the story was that this family had picked up some sort of gem, and this gem had made us want to kill ourselves.
“So we killed ourselves on the way in the ferry in the car. We poisoned ourselves with carbon monoxide from the car.
“We died, then we got taken off in an ambulance – then I had to play dead in an open grave.
“If you imagine this six-year-old. I remember the director going ‘And action! Hold your breath now.’ So then we had to hold our breath, they filmed, and then they went ‘And cut! You can breathe.’
“So we had to keep doing that take after take. I was loving it. I was like, this is brilliant. It’s like playing.”
Despite thinking the film was terrible at the time, Alison said she gave it another chance as an adult to see if she had got it wrong.
But she said: “It was rubbish. It was the biggest flop you’ve ever seen.
“And Sting was in it. He plays an angel in it. And Daniel Day-Lewis. It was amazing.”
Although the movie wasn’t a success, it did give Alison her first taste of fame.
She went on to have several TV parts as child actor before winning fans over on Big Brother in 2002 when she was 27.
Since then, she has carved out a successul TV career for herself starring in reality shows such as Celebrity Fit Club, Celebrity Stars In Their Eyes, I'm A Celebrity, Celebrity MasterChef, Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity Bake Off.
Fans best know her these days for being a presenter on This Morning, a role she has held since 2003.
