Alison Hammond told the This Morning crew to 'take the camera off her' on Friday's show.
The bubbly Brummie, 48 was hosting the programme with Dermot O'Leary 50, following weeks of high drama after Phillip Schofield's shock resignation.
Alison has been praised for her presenting skills, but had to reach for the tissues yesterday after suffering from hay fever.
After reapplying her make-up live on air, she said: "Sorry can I get a tissue? I've got really bad hay fever that's just come on."
As Dermot handing his pal a Kleenex, Alison continued: "I'm sorry I just have to blow my nose. Don't put the camera on me for one second. Thank you."
Composing herself, the mum-of-one admitted: "It's so embarrassing" before Dermot gushed: "You look good bubba. Are you done? Amazing."
Alison opened up about her hay fever in March, telling Dermot she woke up and instantly felt "different", before sharing with viewers: "You know, hay fever, runny eyes, the nose thing, I don't feel too well."
In spite of her allergy, the Big Brother star has impressed ITV bosses as she steps up to a more permanent role on This Morning following the Phil furore.
The Broom Cupboard star quit the show 'he loved' in May before admitting to an "unwise but not illegal" affair with a young runner.
Following his admission, Alison was on tears in the studio as she admitted she still 'loved' her former colleague, despite conceding he'd 'done something wrong.'
The Big Brother star is now said to be top of the list for ITV, who want Alison to front a number of new game show projects in a bid to lock her into the channel.
Sources confirmed chiefs are looking at other light entertainment options for the 48-year-old away from the This Morning sofa.
They said: “She is incredibly popular and is perceived as very honest – which is worth a lot following Phillip’s admission that he lied to everyone.”
Alison was confirmed as Matt Lucas’ replacement on The Great British Bake Off earlier this year.
She will co-host the Channel 4 show alongside The Mighty Boosh star Noel Fielding after the Little Britain star quit.
Despite the programme not being on ITV, a source said: “While Bake Off is factual, ITV don’t want to see Alison working on entertainment formats with any other channel."
