Alison Hammond was reassured by co-host Dermot O'Leary and backed by viewers after breaking down in tears during a phone-in that hit very close to home for her.
At the end of another week for the popular ITV daytime show, Alison and Dermot were back at the helm for a packed show, that saw them discuss the ongoing trauma facing the people of Ukraine and interview Line of Duty star Martin Compston, ahead of the debut of his new thriller Our House.
Before Martin spoke to the presenters, they were joined by another guest, This Morning's resident agony aunt Deidre, who appeared via video call for Friday's phone-in.

And it was a viewer's call that led to Alison becoming emotional as their story mirrored her own life experiences.
A tearful and anxiouswoman rang in telling the trio that her 17-year-old daughter couldn't stop comfort eating and, as a result had become obese, even hiding late night snacking from her mum.
Deirdre offered advice and it was then that Alison became emotional and tears started to come as she said she'd suffered her whole life and said more needs to be done to help people in that situation.
Talking through tears, she saids: "People help people who are anorexic, but they don't help people who are overweight.
"That's why so many people turn to surgery and things like that, because they don't know what to do," before apologising for crying, saying: "it's so hard, people don't realise, I'm so sorry."
Alison pleaded for the NHS to take obesity seriously in the same way they treat anorexia., as Deidre replied: "People are waiting years on these waiting lists, I think it's a dreadful thing."
After the show returned from an ad break, Alison again apologised, but rushing to reassure her as viewers at home flooded Twitter with messages of support.
One reacted: "@AlisonHammond you are amazing and please don't apologise I was crying with you. I love the relationship with you a @radioleary love that he is there for you. So proud of you Alison, so brave for speaking your truth."
A second tweeted: "Oh Alison you probably had all your viewers crying with you me being one of them, you are an inspiration and certainly not an ugly cryer your beautiful and please don't apologise"
