Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor recently announced the name of their baby girl on social media and the little one is being showered with love from all sides.
Riddhima Kapoor Sahni’s daughter Samara Sahni also shared a sweet post for her cousin Raha on Instagram. She wrote, ‘I love u Raha (heart emojis) Lots of hugs from your big sister Sam.’ The post was re-shared by grandmother Neetu Singh.

Alia dropped the first family photo featuring Raha and Ranbir. In the caption, she explained the meaning behind her daughter's name and revealed Neetu Kapoor picked it. She wrote, ‘The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful dadi) has so many beautiful meanings… Raha, in its purest form means divine path in Swahili she is Joy, In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan, In Bangla - rest, comfort, relief, in Arabic peace, it also means happiness, freedom & bliss. And true to her name, from the first moment we held her - we felt it ALL! Thank you Raha, for bringing our family to life, it feels as though our lives have only just begun.’
Alia and Ranbir got hitched earlier this year, in April, in an intimate wedding ceremony with just their close friends and family in attendance.
On the work front, Alia will next be seen in Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ with Ranveer Singh. Ranbir, on the other hand, has Luv Ranjan’s untitled next with Shraddha Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Animal’ in his pipeline.
