Algeria cuts diplomatic ties with United Arab Emirates over 'provocative and hostile actions'

Algeria is severing diplomatic ties with the United Arab Emirates, state media reported Thursday. Algerian President ‌Abdelmadjid Tebboune has in the past accused the Gulf state of trying to meddle in Algeria's internal affairs.

Algeria decided to sever diplomatic relations with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after what it described as the "exhaustion of all means to preserve ‌bilateral ties", Algerian state ⁠media said on Thursday.
