Alfredo Morelos in Rangers transfer domino effect as he joins Moussa Dembele on Fenerbahce plan B 'agenda'

He's been linked here, there and everywhere - but Alfredo Morelos' exit rumour away from Rangers is this time more known.

The Colombian is said to have knocked back a move to Turkish outfit Konyaspor this week, with his deal at Ibrox expiring at the end of this season. New reports from Turkey via Bilimhaber state that Fenerbahce are on the case of Morelos again, having been named on their shortlist for a January move, according to reports last year.

He isn't their top target though. Haji Wright of Antalyaspor is believed to be their 'primary goal' after 11 goals in 17 games this season, but should they fail to agree terms for another player in the Super Lig, they will turn to Premiership strikers past and present for back-up. First up on their list will be Rangers' number 20 as they look to pounce on his uncertain future in Glasgow. Next will be Celtic hero Moussa Dembele.

Premier League clubs were sniffing around him in January as he too will be a free agent come the summer. But he opted to remain at Lyon - who he joined from Celtic in 2018 - and will assess his options at the end of the season.

A fee of £8.8m is believed to be the fee Fenerbahce would need to stump up for their main man. So, both Morelos and then Dembele provide vastly cheaper alternatives.

Nothing has been agreed yet either way when it comes to whether the Rangers striker stays or departs. He's netted nine times with five assists in 31 games this term.
