Alfredo Morelos will get one last chance to show what he can do against Celtic this weekend as Michael Beale revealed he has no plans to down tools for the remainder of the season.
Beale issued a scathing assessment of the Colombian's cameo against Aberdeen last weekend and announced he will be leaving the club when his contract expires. But speaking ahead of the final derby of the season on Saturday, the Ibrox boss says there are no hard feelings between him and the striker.
He said at his broadcast press conference: "Alfredo is available for selection, our relationship is honest and there are no issues there. Alfredo is robust, I feel he could have made a more positive impact last week but we are fine - no drama and he has been great in training this week. He is keen to keep showcasing what he can do in his time at Rangers."
And speaking to Sky Sports the Rangers boss added: "He'll definitely be involved in the squad. There's no issue with me and Alfredo, we've been on the same page for quite a while. We've had a long relationship spanning four, four-and-a-half years.
"There's no issues whatsoever. When he plays well he gets praise. It's important that I'm honest in my feedback to him. It's nothing more than that. Last week he came on in the game and wasn't his usual self. He was frustrated as well as everybody else."
Beale also confirmed Robby McCrorie will start between the sticks as the 25-year-old will get the chance to stake his claim. He added: "Robby will stay in goal this weekend. He was excellent last week, he made two really big stops, he was assured. He's a confident young goalkeeper - actually he doesn't like me calling him young any more.
"He wants to stake a claim to play, he's been out injured so this is a good opportunity. Both Jon and Allan are aware because we spoke about it earlier in the season that this moment would come and we'd give Robby this opportunity. If he does as well as he did last week then he'll do himself proud."
Morelos and McCrorie will feature but Ryan Kent won't as he continues his recovery from injury. Ryan Jack is back in the team but Beale confirmed Ben Davies will miss out due to a knock. Beale added: "Ben (Davies) misses out. Ryan (Kent) has not returned to training as still has an issue. Jack comes back in which is great."
