Alfredo Morelos is a far cry from the 'different class' he showed at Rangers a few years ago.
That is the view of Celtic hero Frank McAvennie as the pundit slammed the Colombian's fitness in recent weeks. Despite heavy criticism in some quarters aimed at Morelos for his fitness concerns, the forward has been key to Michael Beale's so-far unbeaten run in Glasgow. The likes of Croatian Antonio Colak and luckless Kemar Roofe have both faced injury spells on the sidelines.
And McAvennie admits he is shocked that Beale has not 'battered him' in training but believes the Englishman has been short of options. Morelos had been linked with moves away in the January window as his contract situation is still not resolved, but the former Parkhead man believes there is little chance of a switch.

He told Football Insider: "The only reason he is getting a game is because Roofe and Colak are injured.
“You can see that he is not fit. You look at him and think that he is not fit. Certainly not fit enough for top flight football. I really do not know why the manager does not batter him in training.
“It is not doing him any good and his career will be gone before he realises it. He was a different class striker. He was their talisman. The idea that he is going to go to a big club, there is not a chance.“
