Borussia Dortmund star Raphael Guerreiro believes they can see off Rangers in the Europa League - IF they stop Alfredo Morelos.
The Portuguese full-back has pinpointed the in-form Ibrox striker as the main threat in Gio van Bronckhorst’s side.
Along with Gers new boy Aaron Ramsey, Guerreiro says the Colombian will have to be stopped if the Germans are to progress to the last 16.
Ahead of their first-leg clash at the Westfalenstadion on Thursday night, Guerreiro said: “We have already viewed some of Rangers’ matches.
“They are a solid, physical team but their big reference point in attack is Morelos.
“He’s a very dangerous striker and we need to try and avoid him being comfortable on the pitch against us.
“If we can stop Morelos, it will give us a big advantage over the Scottish club.
“I also think Ramsey will be important for Rangers. I know this player and he deserves to be in a team that wins big titles.”
Guerreiro respects Rangers and knows they won’t get it easy against the Premiership champions.
But after the German side finished third in their Champions League group behind Ajax and Sporting Lisbon, he expects Marco Rose’s side to go far in this competition.
Dortmund’s star striker Erling Haaland is fighting to be fit for the Rangers tie - but Guerreiro is adamant that they’re NOT a one-man team.
He said: “After our failure in the Champions League, our dream is to get to the final of the Europa League.
“It’s a big challenge for us because every match is like a final for Dortmund. But we’re united and very focused on Rangers.
“They are a team with tradition in Europe and they’re now champions of Scotland, fighting for titles.
“It will not be an easy match but at Dortmund we believe we can defeat any rival.
“The players here are clear - this tie is big as games against Bayern Munich or any other big European team.
“And Borussia Dortmund is not only about Haaland. It’s true that we need his goals - but we’ve also won matches without our striker.”
