Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent Rangers future addressed as Ross Wilson reveals rejected offers over valuation claim

Ross Wilson admits there is a 'willingness' from Rangers to get Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent signed up on new deals.

But the Ibrox Managing Director also revealed that the club have REJECTED transfer offers for both players, citing the valuation of the Englishman and the Colombian was not to Rangers' liking. Kent, who has garnered interest from Leeds United, is in the final year of his Ibrox deal after being signed for £7m from Liverpool a few years ago.

His attacking partner Alfredo Morelos, who was a coup deal from Rangers under Pedro Caixinha, is in the same contract limbo with the player able to sign a pre-contract in January with interested parties. The forward has shown rocky form for the Light Blues this season and was resigned to the bench under Giovanni Van Bronckhorst earlier this season owing to fitness and attitude concerns.

And Ibrox supremo Wilson has caught some flak from supporters over the two, but insists Rangers are seeking to get both on new deals but did reveal offers have been knocked back.

He said at the club's AGM when asked about the contract situation: "It’s not a case of allowing it. There is a willingness from club and manager for those players to stay with us and time will tell if that happens. We have rejected one offer for each of the 2 players as their value to us was worth more than what was offered."
