Reported Rangers target Alexi Pitu admits it would be 'nice' to join the club and play with old pal Ianis Hagi again.
The Romanian winger, who emerged as a potential transfer target for Michael Beale after impressing with Farul Constanta in the top flight has an interesting existing link to Ibrox. Constanta are currently owned by current Ibrox star Ianis' father Gheorge Hagi. Pitu was part of Hagi senior's academy at youth level before earning a deal with Farul's first team.
Hagi, on the other hand has experienced a torrid year on the sidelines for Rangers after suffering an injury in January but partnered up at Viitorul Constanța with Pitu. Hagi has spent the majority of 2022 on the sidelines but it appears, according to Beale, that a return to action is imminent.

Pitu revealed he knows all about Rangers, and says it would be a pleasure to work with Hagi again, but that his focus remains on his football in his homeland.
He said: "Yes I would very much love to play with Ianis again, but first I want to win the title with Farul Constanta.
"I focus on football, I do my training and in the matches, I try to give my best. I understand the interest in playing with Ianis at Rangers and of course, it would be very nice.
"But I'm still a Farul player and I need to concentrate only on the important matches we have coming up this season."
