Alexandro Bernabei's journey from Buenos Aires to Glasgow is being tracked by Celtic fans desperate to see him arrive.
The Argentine left back jetted out of his country's capital earlier this evening. He's en route to Amsterdam, where he'll catch a connecting flight to Scotland. Once there, he'll undergo a medical before signing for Celtic.
The defender is understood to have agreed a five-year contract with the Parkhead club. The Scottish Premiership champions agreed a £3.75million fee with Lanus, who have allowed Bernabei to make the long journey from South America in order to continue his career in Europe.
And punters keen for any transfer news they can get have been following his progress from thousands of miles away, with fan account @aboutceltic charting the aircraft's progress. The aircraft took off at around 7.30 UK time and is due to land in the Netherlands just under 12 hours later.
Providing there are no delays, then the 21-year-old could be confirmed as soon as tomorrow night, although Friday may be a more realistic timeline to get everything signed and sealed.
Bernabei will become Ange Postecoglou's third summer signing.
After trying down Cameron Carter-Vickers on a permanent deal, the Aussie beefed up his goalkeeping options with Benjamin Siegrist.
The former Dundee United number one left Tannadice after his contract expired this summer.
And despite being linked with rivals Rangers towards the end of last season, he penned a four-year deal on the other side of the city
