Alexandra Burke has promised a new album in 2025.
The 'Bad Boys' hitmaker - who shot to fame in 2008 after winning the fifth series of ‘The X Factor’ - has revealed she has recorded a 14-track collection, her first full studio effort since 2018's 'The Truth Is', and it chronicles her journey to motherhood.
Appearing on UK TV show 'This Morning', she spilled: "I was listening to the album before I came on. There's 14 tracks. I actually got up and I was dancing to it.”
Asked when she plans to drop the record, she replied: "Next year, I promise, I promise, next year, it's gonna happen. I'm so excited to release music again.
"The way I feel about music is the same way I feel about acting."
The 36-year-old star - who has two young children, whose names she has not revealed publicly, with her fiancé Darren Randolph - hopes fans will feel "uplifted" by the “feel-good” songs.
She continued: "I'm on a whole new journey. With this album, I started before [having] kids.
"So there's songs in there that were in there that have been written before I even met Darren, and then that journey with meeting Darren, having two children, all of that blossoms in there as well.
“I want this album to uplift people, to make people feel positive and feel loved, and feel like they're enough."
She added: "It's about keeping people encouraged in life,. We all need encouragement. We all need a bit of a push and I'm hoping that this album can provide it. If it's just one tune, great but if it's the whole album, even better.
"I just want people to feel good when they listen to it. That's all that matters right now in life, right? You've got to feel good!"
