Newcastle United fan favourite Ryan Taylor believes the Magpies could go to the next level with the arrival of Alexander Isak. The 22-year-old is on the brink of a £59million move that would smash the Magpies current transfer record.
Eddie Howe has been looking to bolster his attacking options this summer and the arrival of the Swedish forward would be a real statement of intent. The arrivals of Bruno Guimaraes and Kieran Trippier helped Newcastle secure their Premier League status last season, but with European football on offer, they're being touted to take the next step.
Taylor told Sky Sports: "There's levels now Newcastle are going to. There's levels they've been at and stuck at, now you can see what the new owners are doing.

"They're going to a new level and it looks like they're buying top, top quality from now on. This could be the start of what we thought was going to happen at Newcastle United."
Isak has been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool in recent years and former Liverpool striker John Aldridge believes Real Sociedad fans will be upset. He said: "Liverpool have been linked with him along with a lot of big clubs. I know people in San Sebastian will be very, very upset that he's going to leave because he's been sensational for them over the last few years or so, money is money.
