Newcastle United's new record signing Alexander Isak insists he does not focus on labels after being asked about his 'wonderkid' status. The Sweden international has signed a six-year deal at St James' Park after the Magpies agreed an initial £58 million deal for the forward.
Isak is considered one of the most promising attackers in European football following an impressive spell at Real Sociedad. The 22-year-old impressed at Euro 2020 and is regularly compared with Sweden legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Isak was handed his Newcastle debut in the midweek defeat at Liverpool, and opened the scoring with an emphatic strike past Alisson. The summer signing found the net for a second time, only to see the effort chalked off following a tight VAR offside call.
