Alexander Isak has been crowned Newcastle United’s Player of the Month after fans voted to reward the forward for his match-winning displays in March.
The Swede netted three goals last month to help lift the Magpies into pole position for a Champions League spot, despite only featuring for 185 minutes across three games.
And United fans voted in their numbers to hand Isak the monthly award with a 68% share of the vote, seeing off fellow nominees Joe Willock and Fabian Schar in the process.

Former Real Sociedad man Isak began the month with an impressive substitute appearance in defeat to Manchester City, but it was when he was handed a start against Wolverhampton Wanderers that he really kicked into gear, netting the opener in a crucial 2-1 win to get United back to winning ways.
He would go one better the following week, bagging the equaliser against Nottingham Forest before keeping his cool from the penalty spot to give Newcastle three points in the dying stages.
Willock picked up 21% of the vote to claim second place in the ChronicleLive vote having contributed two assists, first for Miguel Almiron’s match winner against Wolves before setting up Isak for the equaliser at the City Ground. Schar claimed 11% of the vote to take third place.
