Alex Wassabi has been pushing for a second sparring session with fellow YouTube star Yousef 'Fousey' Erakat after he was knocked out in their first one back in 2019.
The pair reunited at the OVO Arena Wembley in London last night at a press conference for Wassabi's fight with Deji this weekend, and discussed a possible rematch of their initial meeting.
But Erakat doesn't seem keen, insisting that the American is a solid puncher and reminding fans that he was losing the exchanges before landing a vicious right hand that knocked his friend unconscious.
Since then, Wassabi has been angling for a YouTube boxing match where he can prove his ability, and that wish will be granted when he heads into enemy territory to face Deji on Saturday night.
"That was a long time ago," Fousey told Mirror Fighting of their spar after last night's press conference. "I sparred Alex before he had ever trained.
"I felt his power back then, he hadn't trained a day in his life, I love that he's getting underestimated because everyone is going to have a plan to beat this guy until they get punched in the face.
"He's wanted to get back in the ring again - never - he's wanted to for years, I'm the one who said no because I was touched by his hands then.
"That's how confident I am in him, I do not want to see him in the ring."
Wassabi appears keen to run it back with his close friend, and the pair have remained close in the years following the viral clip.
Fousey was ultimately viciously stopped when he made his boxing debut, and has insisted that he's done with fighting despite flirting with a comeback at different intervals.

"My ego doesn't get in front of reality," he explained of his decision to stay away from the ring. "My nose broke pretty badly in the first one.
"It's not really worth it for me so I put my ego behind me now and just enjoy the atmosphere."
And he has launched a new promotional company with fellow YouTube star Daniel 'Keemstar' Keem, with the pair set to put on their first event under the Happy Punch Promotions banner soon.
They have partnered together for a number of boxing-related ventures including lending their broadcasting skills and expertise in the field of YouTube boxing to Social Gloves and BKFC events.
"I'm on the business side of things now instead of the fighter side of things," he added.
