Rangers pundit Alex Rae couldn't resist a cheeky dig at former Celtic striker John Hartson after his attempt at baiting Ibrox legions went awry on deadline day.
Hartson had taken to Twitter earlier on Monday to insist Rangers' decision to not sign him "ruined" the club in an eyebrow-raising post.
But hours later another well-known Welshman had joined up in Govan - former Arsenal and Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey.
He's signed on a six-month loan from Turin with the Serie A side continuing to pay the bulk of his salary in order to fulfil his wish of playing regular football.
The announcement sent Gers supporters into raptures as they dream of the No.16 leading Giovanni van Bronckhorst's side to title glory this season.
But Rae spotted an opportunity for a wind-up as he Tweeted: "Welcome @aaronramsey to the world’s most successful club! The most successful Welshman ever to play in Scotland," accompanied by a winking face emoji.
Earlier on deadline day, Hartson had posted: "I totally ruined Rangers single handedly, insider told me it’s the worst mistake they have ever done..
"4 winning goals in derbies. 8 in total should have been ten !! Signed Flo instead for 12m we all know how well he did for them."
