Alex Morgan Invites Taylor Swift to Come Watch ‘Real Football’ Match

Taylor Swift has been a mainstay at Chiefs games ever since news of her reported relationship with tight end Travis Kelce went public.

Could Swift be making an appearance at other sporting events too? If it were up to soccer star Alex Morgan, the answer would be a resounding yes. She made it known that Swift is more than welcome to attend a San Diego Wave game this fall.

“There’s an open invitation, always,” Morgan told the media earlier this week. “American football games are fun, but real football games are even more fun,” she added.

“Exactly,” teammate Jaedyn Shaw agreed.

For Morgan, it was a perfect opportunity to take a friendly jab at the football vs. futbol debate, while also inviting an iconic pop star to a soccer match. 

While Swift has incentive to attend Chiefs games for Kelce, whether she’s an actual football fan or not, the same cannot be said for soccer. However, there is no debate that a Swift-NWSL crossover would undoubtedly be a win-win for both sides.

Now soccer fans and “Swifties” alike will wait and see if this invitation is ever accepted by Swift.
