Welsh TV presenter Alex Jones has been celebrating her daughter Annie's first birthday while enjoying a UK holiday in Devon. The star is currently taking a break from her normal presenting duties on The One Show which has been off air for a few weeks and returns on Monday, August 22.
Alex recently took a break from social media and later told fans she had been going through a "challenging" time. But now she's posting again on her Instagram account and has been sharing pictures of her gorgeous family holiday to Devon.
These pictures include her paddling in a river, enjoying visits to a farm, and going on a trip on a vintage steam train. Alex captioned one of her pictures "A special day for a special girl" as she celebrated her daughter Annie's first birthday.

Annie is Alex's youngest child and she has said Annie was a "huge surprise". Alex is married to Charlie Thomson, who is from New Zealand and the couple share two other children -Teddy, five, and Kit, three.
Her idyllic holiday snaps have also included pictures of Charlie paddling in the river and her sons enjoying their holiday. The holiday photos come weeks after Alex posted a painting of a lemon on Instagram with the caption: "Things have been a bit tricky for us recently and in all honesty, I haven’t had time to be on here between working and the children but I randomly logged on and saw all your lovely messages gently asking if we were all ok.
"I was touched by your kindness and so I just wanted to check in and say thank you, and that even though life has been a bit challenging, we are ok and still managing to enjoy the beginning of the holidays and there's still plenty to smile about! (I'll pop some stuff on my stories) #whenlifegivesyoulemons #thekindnessofstrangers."
The One Show will be back on BBC One on Monday, August 22 at 7pm but it is not known when Alex will be returning from her summer break.
