Alex Jones's new BBC show, Reunion Hotel, is often a moving watch, from people reconnecting with those who helped them through a tough time to those finding long lost family members. In the third episode, Kwesi has an emotional meeting with his daughter Ruth, who he has been searching for for years and has never met.
Reunion Hotel sees people who are Welsh or connected to Wales come to the hotel to be reunited with people from their past and is filmed at Iscoyd Park in Wrexham. When arriving at the hotel Kwesi explained his daughter was born in Carmarthen when he was 25 but he had never met her.
He had spent years searching for her, he said: "It has always been at the back of my mind. I always had the belief that I would find her one day...I'm sad that I hadn't had this opportunity much earlier."

Ruth had also spent years looking for her parents and was left with no information about her dad, not even his name. All the information that she had was that he was from West Africa. You can keep up to date with the latest TV and showbiz news by signing up to the newsletter here.
During her search, Ruth was able to contact her birth mother, however never received a reply. The daughter and father meeting was very emotional with Ruth bursting into tears as soon as she met Kwesi.
After a hug Kwesi comforted Ruth through her tears. He told her: "You've been on my mind for a long old time...I've always wanted to just find you and tell you who you are." For Kwesi it was important for Ruth to know about her West African heritage.
He said: "I'm just so so happy that I found you," and was overjoyed to see that Ruth was happy to see him. He said: "I'm so so so happy that you are happy." Since meeting on Reunion Hotel, Kwesi met Ruth's two sons and they are planning a trip to West Africa to meet their wider family.
Reunion Hotel airs on BBC One in Wales, BBC Two elsewhere, at 8pm on Thursday, April 20.
