Alex Jones gobsmacked by Binley Mega Chippy as she exclaims 'what's going on?!' on The One Show

Alex Jones was left gobsmacked after failing to understand the popularity of a chippy that has had guests travelling across the world to eat its chips. Binley Mega Chippy became the talk of the town after its TikTok fame catapulted it onto the world stage last week.

The viral TikTok video has attracted fast-food loving visitors from far and wide. Visitors curious about Binley Mega Chippy have made the food-related pilgrimage from Portugal, Australia and America to sample Coventry's finest chips.

Speaking to a One Show presenter, chip shop owner Kamal Gandhi revealed he only bought the chip shop six months ago. A clearly delighted Gandhi was enjoying the sudden spike in custom, explaining they now had queues out of the door and were busy for large portions of the day.

After watching the segment, Jones, 45, exclaimed: "What's going on! I mean it's amazing for them but wow!"

Co-host Jermaine Jenas, 39, flew to the chippy's defence. He asked: "What's not to love about a chippy?

"It's great for business but not what I'm having for dinner tonight, by the way."

After thinking about it, Jones replied: "Oh yeah, chips, curry sauce, vinegar, gravy, mushy peas, add it all in the mix."

Viewers were quick to react on social media.
