The One Show 's Alex Jones has spoken out after returning to screens for the first time in four weeks. The Welsh presenter returned to the sofa on Tuesday's show after taking a break for the summer.
During her break Alex, from Ammanford, was spotted in the Cotswolds and Greece enjoying getaways with her husband Charlie Thomson and their three children, Kit, Teddy and Annie. After confirming her return earlier today, Alex was welcomed back on the show on Tuesday evening by co-host Ronan Keating who exclaimed: "Al, great to have you back on the sofa!"
Asked if it was good to be back, Jones said: "It's lovely to be back. Feels like it's been a while, [I had a] lovely holiday. Nice to be back though as always."

Alex's return comes after she told her fans that her life had been going through a "challenging and tricky" patch in a candid post. In the message shared on July 26, Alex wrote: "Things have been a bit tricky for us recently and in all honesty, I haven’t had time to be on here between working and the children but I randomly logged on and saw all your lovely messages gently asking if we were all ok.
"I was touched by your kindness and so I just wanted to check in and say thank you, and that even though life has been a bit challenging, we are ok and still managing to enjoy the beginning of the holidays and there's still plenty to smile about! (I'll pop some stuff on my stories) #whenlifegivesyoulemons #thekindnessofstrangers."
