When former Gucci designer Alessandro Michele moved over to Valentino, we were certainly curious. We wondered if he'd bring his signature eclectic style to the storied Italian fashion house. The answer? A definitive "yes." Now Michele is unveiling his very first advertising campaign for Valentino highlighting the brand's Resort 2025 collection.
"Avant les Débuts" includes a cinematic experience along with photographs, both captured by Glen Luchford. The campaign is inspired by legendary director Federico Fellini's 1972 movie, Roma. It explores the connection between Rome and Valentino as the front door of Mignanelli Palace, the label's birthplace and headquarters, "becomes the portal to a world of rich inspiration." Thereby giving a glimpse of the fashion house's history and the "splendor of Rome."
