Alessandro Bastoni was heavily linked with a move to Tottenham earlier in the summer and he has now included two Spurs players in his dream five-a-side team. The Italian made 31 Serie A appearances for Inter Milan last season, with four goal contributions and was thought to be Antonio Conte's number one defensive choice in the summer transfer window.
The defender has already spent time playing under Antonio Conte, so both know how the other works. Bastoni has received heaps of praise for his quality and would be a really strong addition to the Spurs side.
The 23-year-old would be another option on the left of the back three, handing Ben Davies competition in that role. However, the links were shut down when both the defender and his agent seem to rule out any move away from Inter.

Tottenham went on to sign Clement Lenglet on a season-long loan from Barcelona, who will instead be the man to give Conte rotation in the left centre-back position. At the end of next season and when Lenglet is expected to return to the Spanish club, there are likely to be fresh links with Bastoni though.
Spurs have a world-class manager the Italian knows well and will hopefully again have Champions League football to offer, which should help attract the defender to N17. According to CIES, Bastoni has a current market value of up to £58.8million so it would be a chunk for Tottenham to pay.
But if Conte wants to bring the defender in, he may have a little bit of help on his side in that Bastoni appears to be a huge fan of Son and Kane. Bastoni took to Inter Milan's TikTok account this week to name his dream five-a-side team. The defender used a filter with flags from across the world and whichever it landed on, he had to pick a player from that country.
The first was South Korea and the Italian took a brief pause before naming Son Heung-min. Great Britain was next and Harry Kane was the chosen player. Bastoni then picked Alfonso Davies of Canada, Macedonia's Goran Pandev and Kylian Mbappe from the French international team. Although Bastoni had to pick players from these specific countries, he still clearly appreciates the quality of the Tottenham duo.
Could they all become teammates in the near future? Maybe one day the 23-year-old will become a Spurs player and if he does, it is good to know he already appreciates the talent already at the club.
