Alejandro Garnacho sends message after last-minute winning goal for Manchester United vs Fulham

Manchester United ace Alejandro Garnacho has sent a message to the fans after his 93rd-minute strike dramatically ensured Erik ten Hag's side beat Fulham 2-1.

Christian Eriksen opened the scoring for United, as the Dane managed to finally find the net for the club in his 13th league appearance. An ever-so-slightly deflected Bruno Fernandes cross to the back-post saw the former Brentford midfielder turn home from close range after 14 minutes had been played.

United were ahead at the break, but former player Dan James came on as a second-half substitute for Fulham and it didn't take long before he came back to haunt his old side, levelling the scores in the 61st minute. The two clubs appeared to be set to share the points as the game headed into injury time before Garnacho stole the headlines with a superb left-footed finish into the bottom corner.

The teenager used a brilliant burst of acceleration to get past Bobby Decordova-Reid, as he leaves Ten Hag to sit and reflect over his destructive cameo for the next month and a half. Garnacho has now taken to social media to relish in the win, posting a picture of himself celebrating alongside the caption: "WINNING GOAL!! @premierleague See you after the break @manchesterunited."

United's first competitive match after the World Cup is set to be their fourth round Carabao Cup clash against Burnley, after Garnacho provided two assists against Aston Villa in the third round to help his side seal safe passage to the round of 16.

The following weekend sees a home clash against Nottingham Forest in the Premier League, a day after Boxing Day, where fans may well get to see the Argentinian score his first league goal at Old Trafford, should Ten Hag turn to his wonderkid after the break. Following his display against Fulham, his argument could not be stronger for a starting role.
