Alejandro Garnacho issues Manchester United injury update as Austria make Marcel Sabitzer decision

Garnacho issues injury update

Alejandro Garnacho has confirmed he will miss Manchester United's two matches this week, as well as Argentina duty through injury. The 18-year-old was spotted leaving Old Trafford on crutches following the goalless draw with Southampton at the weekend, and has now offered an update on his injury situation.

Garnacho came on in the 73rd minute, but was taken off in added time and headed straight down the tunnel after a challenge by Southampton right-back Kyle Walker-Peters.

Austria make Sabitzer decision

Marcel Sabitzer has been called up for the Austrian national team despite his recent absence for United. The 28-year-old joined United on loan from Bayern Munich in the January transfer window and initially impressed with his performances for the club.

Sabitzer was named in the Austria squad by Ralf Rangnick on Tuesday for their upcoming European Championship qualifiers against Azerbaijan and Estonia.
