Alejandro Garnacho and Shola Shoretire were among the Manchester United youngsters to bid farewell to Martin Svidersky as the youngster confirmed his departure from the club.
Slovakia Under-21 international Svidersky will leave United this summer when his contract expires at the end of the month. His departure brings an end to his four-year spell at Old Trafford, having signed for the club in 2018.
Svidersky had reportedly attracted interest from the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Celtic before joining United. His time with the club didn’t get off to the best of starts, though, as he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury before bouncing back in the 2020/21 season.

Confirming his departure, Svidersky posted on Instagram: “Thank you for everything @manchesterunited. This club will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you God for guiding me on this journey, without you this wouldn’t be possible.”
A number of Svidersky’s team-mates replied to the post in order to bid farewell to the 19-year-old. Among them were Garnacho, who posted “all the best bro” and Shoretire, who added “all the best my guy.”
Charlie Savage replied “all the best bro, a pleasure to play with you”, while the likes of Noam Emeran, Rhys Bennett, Charlie Wellens and Charlie McNeil also shared messages. Former United midfielder and youth team coach Nicky Butt also bid Svidersky farewell.
Svidersky now looks set to make the move to Spain, having revealed his plans to Slovakian outlet Sportnet last week. Reports have suggested Valencia, Villarreal and Almeria are all potential destinations, with the midfielder said to have already undergone his medical.
“I have spent the last days in Spain, where my steps will continue,” Svidersky said. “They will follow in the first Spanish league, La Liga. I have high expectations, it will be a new experience, a new country.
“Spain came to me as the best option for my development. It is an opportunity to play men’s football and get more chances.”
