Aldi worker proved 'kindess still around' when man couldn't pay for shopping

An Aldi worker has been praised for helping a young man who was unable to pay for his shopping.

The cashier, who works at the Haydock branch of the supermarket chain, stepped in and paid a man's bill after he had an issue with his bank card. The man's nan, who asked not to be named, shared details of the kind act on Facebook, in hopes of tracking the member of staff down.

In a post she said: "Hope this reaches the lady in question...it's a message of thanks to a lady cashier who works in Aldi Haydock.

While another added: "How lovely of her, remember to pay it forward."
