Aldi to sell ice cream for dogs this summer for just £2.99

Ice creams for dogs will be on sale at Aldi this summer in what the company is describing as a first for UK supermarkets. Dog owners will have a choice of pea and vanilla flavour or apple and carrot for their pooches when the new Beechdean Doggy Ice Cream range goes on sale on Thursday.

The treats are described by Aldi as 100% plant-based and made with real fruit and vegetables. Julie Ashfield, managing director of buying at Aldi UK, said: “With more of our customers now owning dogs, we’re delighted to launch a nutritious and tasty treat that will help keep dogs cool in the heat.

"Being the first UK supermarket to launch a dog-friendly ice cream comes just in time for summer as we look forward to the warm weather."
